Coating and correction for Irvine, answered first.
Where do Irvine drivers go for ceramic coating?
The Recon Pros in Huntington Beach serves Irvine from a studio 12 to 17 miles away. We install Revivify self-healing coating instead of traditional ceramic, after measured paint correction, and Tesla and EV paint is a specialty.
Is ceramic coating a good idea for a Tesla?
Tesla clear coat is thin and soft, so it swirls easily. A traditional ceramic locks those swirls in and keeps collecting new ones. A self-healing coating suits soft paint better because light marring closes back up under heat.
How much is paint correction for an Irvine driver?
Paint correction runs $400–$2,500 by vehicle size and the number of stages needed. Revivify coating is priced separately from $600. Mel confirms the exact price after inspecting the car in person.

What Irvine conditions do to paint.
Irvine is far enough inland to lose the marine layer early, so cars here spend more hours in direct sun than cars on the coast. Heat and UV are what dry out and dull an unprotected clear coat over time, and they bake anything sitting on the paint into it.
The most common thing sitting on it is sprinkler water. Irvine is heavily landscaped, and overspray from irrigation leaves mineral deposits that dry into rings. A few hot afternoons and those rings etch into the clear coat, at which point washing no longer removes them and correction is the only fix.
Then there is the paint itself. Teslas and other EVs are a common sight on Irvine streets, and Tesla clear coat is thinner and softer than most German or Japanese paint. It marks easily and has less material to work with, which is why we gauge every panel before correcting and why a flexible, self-healing coating is the better match than a rigid ceramic.
Correct the paint. Then protect it.
The same two-step process for every Irvine car: remove the defects, then install a coating that keeps the finish that way.
