Quick answers

Orange County coating questions, answered first.

Who does ceramic coating in Orange County?

The Recon Pros in Huntington Beach serves all of Orange County. We install Revivify self-healing coating in place of traditional ceramic, always after paint correction, with 2026 prices published on the site.

How much does ceramic coating cost in Orange County?

At The Recon Pros, Revivify coating starts at $600 for a small vehicle. The highest listed starting price is $4,200, for Pro Shield Plus on an oversize vehicle. Choosing CarbonX on the multi-layer packages adds 30%. Paint correction is priced separately at $400–$2,500.

Is self-healing coating better than ceramic?

For a car that is driven and washed, usually yes. A traditional ceramic cures into a rigid film, so new wash marks stay. A self-healing coating stays flexible, so light marring closes back up under heat from the sun or warm water.

Coast and inland

Orange County is two climates. Paint feels both.

On the coast

From Seal Beach down through Huntington and Newport, cars sit in salt air. The marine layer wets the paint overnight and the sun dries it by midday, leaving a mineral film that scratches when it is wiped dry and etches when it is left. Regular washing matters more here, which also means more chances to put swirl marks in the finish.

Inland

A few miles from the water the marine layer burns off earlier, so paint spends more hours in direct sun. Heat and UV dull unprotected clear coat over time, and they bake sprinkler overspray into hard water spots that washing will not remove. Freeway commuting adds road film and brake dust on top.

Either way the fix is the same order of work: paint correction to remove the damage, then a Revivify self-healing coating so it does not come straight back. By vehicle

What you drive changes the process.

Clear coat is not the same from one manufacturer to the next. A Tesla ceramic coating job starts from thin, soft paint; a Porsche ceramic coating job usually starts from harder clear. We measure each car rather than assume, because paint varies by model, year and repaint history. Older cars are different again — see classic car paint correction. We keep coating guides for every make we work on, and you can see finished cars in our paint correction results gallery.

FAQ

Orange County coating and correction, answered.

No. Self-healing means light marring in the coating itself, such as fine wash marks, closes back up under heat from the sun or warm water. It is not impact protection. A stone strike can still chip the paint through any coating. Paint protection film is the product for impact, and Revivify can be installed over film if you want both. We will tell you which problem you actually have before you spend on either.
