Ceramic coating and paint correction for Newport Beach.
Protection made for salt air.
Cars that live near the water need more than a wax. We correct the paint, then install Revivify self-healing coating at our Huntington Beach studio, 10 to 14 miles up the coast from Newport.
Newport Beach owners who want ceramic coating or paint correction can book The Recon Pros in Huntington Beach, 10 miles from Newport Pier and about 13.5 miles from the Newport Beach Civic Center. Founder Mel Craig has 48 years in paint correction and is a Revivify master installer. We correct the finish first, then install Revivify self-healing coating instead of traditional ceramic — a flexible coating that suits cars parked in salt air and coastal sun. Revivify starts at $600 by vehicle size and paint correction runs $400–$2,500, confirmed after inspection.

Who does ceramic coating for Newport Beach cars?
The Recon Pros in Huntington Beach serves Newport Beach from a studio 10 to 14 miles away. We install Revivify self-healing coating rather than traditional ceramic, always after paint correction, with pricing published before you call.
Does salt air damage car paint?
Salt air leaves a corrosive film that holds moisture against the paint, and coastal sun bakes it in. Left alone it dulls clear coat and etches water spots. A bonded protective coating gives that film a slick surface to release from instead of your paint.
What does paint correction cost near Newport Beach?
Paint correction at The Recon Pros runs $400–$2,500 depending on vehicle size and how many correction stages the paint needs. Revivify coating is separate, from $600. Mel confirms the price after an in-person inspection.

What living by the water does to a finish.
Park within a few blocks of the harbor, the peninsula or the bluffs and your car often wears a thin layer of salt by morning. The marine layer wets it overnight, the sun dries it by noon, and what is left behind is a gritty mineral film. Wipe that off dry and you have sanded your own clear coat.
Add sprinkler overspray, bird droppings near the water and sand carried on the breeze, and coastal cars tend to show etched water spots and wash marring earlier than the same car kept inland. Dark colours and soft clear coats show it first.
This is the case for correcting once and then protecting properly. After correction, Revivify gives the paint a slick, chemical-resistant surface that salt film and water spots release from far more easily, and because the coating stays flexible, the light marring that careful washing still causes closes back up in the sun.
Correct the paint. Then protect it.
