How much does it cost for an F-150?

Every car is quoted individually after Mel inspects it in person. The price depends on the Revivify package, the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. Paint correction is quoted separately from the coating. Full-size trucks take more product and more correction hours than a sedan, so we confirm the number after inspecting the vehicle. You get the figure before any work starts.

Will it stop rock chips on the front end?

No. A coating is microns thick — it changes the surface, not the structure, and nothing that thin absorbs a stone strike. If chips are the concern, paint protection film on the nose, mirrors and rockers is the answer, with the coating applied over the top for hydrophobics and self-healing across the whole vehicle. We do not install film, and we will tell you so rather than sell you the wrong thing.

Can you coat the bed?

We coat painted bed rails and the tailgate as part of the vehicle. A spray-in or drop-in liner is a different surface and not something a paint coating is designed for. Tell us how the truck is used and we will be specific about what is worth coating and what is not.

What about a Mustang rather than a truck?

Same principles, different priorities. On a Mustang — especially in a dark or high-metallic colour — swirl visibility is the driving concern rather than hard use, which pushes the case for self-healing even harder. The correction stage matters more too, because those colours show every flaw in the finishing pass.

What a ceramic coating does — and why we install Revivify instead.

A ceramic coating is a liquid silica (SiO₂) layer that cures into a hard, glass-like film bonded to your clear coat. It does real work: strong gloss, water and dirt that release far more easily, better resistance to UV, bird droppings, bug acid and road chemicals, and a car that is genuinely quicker to wash. Those benefits are not marketing — a good ceramic delivers them, and it is a legitimate step up from wax or sealant.

The limitation of a traditional ceramic is that it cures rigid. A hard film does not flex, so it does not repair itself — the swirls your wash mitt puts in it stay, and any defect already in the paint underneath is sealed in for the life of the coating. (A few newer ceramic products add self-healing chemistry; the conventional coatings most shops install do not.) That is why The Recon Pros installs Revivify exclusively instead.
