Do you work on BMW Individual and Frozen finishes?

Frozen and other matte finishes must never be machine-polished with conventional compounds — polishing adds gloss and permanently destroys the matte effect. Those cars get decontamination-only prep and a coating formulated for matte surfaces, with no correction step. Individual gloss colours are corrected normally. Either way we inspect and quote the specific car.

My M car is tracked. Does that change anything?

It changes what you should protect and in what order. Brake dust is far more aggressive on a tracked car, so coated wheels are worth more than usual, and leading-edge stone damage argues for film on the nose before any coating goes on. We would rather sequence the job around how the car is actually used than sell you a standard package.

How long does the work take?

It depends on how much correction the paint needs, which is the part that takes the time. We inspect the paint and give you a firm timeline at booking — no open-ended drop-offs.

What a ceramic coating does — and why we install Revivify instead.

A ceramic coating is a liquid silica (SiO₂) layer that cures into a hard, glass-like film bonded to your clear coat. It does real work: strong gloss, water and dirt that release far more easily, better resistance to UV, bird droppings, bug acid and road chemicals, and a car that is genuinely quicker to wash. Those benefits are not marketing — a good ceramic delivers them, and it is a legitimate step up from wax or sealant.

The limitation of a traditional ceramic is that it cures rigid. A hard film does not flex, so it does not repair itself — the swirls your wash mitt puts in it stay, and any defect already in the paint underneath is sealed in for the life of the coating. (A few newer ceramic products add self-healing chemistry; the conventional coatings most shops install do not.) That is why The Recon Pros installs Revivify exclusively instead. The BMW problem

Dark BMW paint hides nothing.

The German clear on a modern BMW is a genuinely good surface to work with — it cuts predictably and finishes down without the hazing you fight on softer paint. Correction results on these cars can be exceptional.

Protecting the car is worth it. Whether a rigid ceramic is the right chemistry depends mostly on your colour and how the car is washed. On a light-coloured BMW that lives in a garage and gets washed carefully, a conventional ceramic performs fine. On Black Sapphire or any dark metallic that gets washed regularly, a coating that cannot self-repair means you watch the correction you paid for disappear mark by mark.
