Low, wide, and unforgiving.
Correct it, then protect it properly.
Exotic bodywork is mostly complex curves, deep intakes and carbon aero — panels that are hard to polish safely and easy to damage in a hurry. This is careful, slow work.
Lamborghini ceramic coating requires more care than the same job on a normal car, and not because the paint is exotic — because the bodywork is. A Huracán or Revuelto is mostly complex curvature, deep intakes, sharp edges and carbon-fibre aero, with very little of the flat, forgiving panel area a machine polisher wants. Edges burn easily, and a hurried correction on an exotic can cost far more to put right than the job was worth. The correct approach is a slow, hand-supported correction with per-panel thickness gauging, followed by a coating that protects the result. We recommend self-healing chemistry over traditional ceramic here for the same reason as elsewhere: a ceramic cures rigid and cannot repair the marks that covers, trailering and careful hand washing still introduce. The Recon Pros installs Revivify exclusively — a urethane-based self-healing protective coating — and does not install traditional ceramic. In Huntington Beach, Mel Craig leads exotic work personally. Expect Signature-level work from $2,495, quoted after inspection.

What a ceramic coating does — and why we install Revivify instead.
A ceramic coating is a liquid silica (SiO2) layer that cures into a hard, glass-like film bonded to your clear coat. It does real work: strong gloss, water and dirt that release far more easily, better resistance to UV, bird droppings, bug acid and road chemicals, and a car that is genuinely quicker to wash. Those benefits are not marketing — a good ceramic delivers them, and it is a legitimate step up from wax or sealant.
The limitation is that it cures rigid. A hard film cannot flex, so it cannot repair itself — every swirl your wash mitt puts in it stays, and any defect already in the paint underneath is sealed in for the life of the coating. That is why The Recon Pros installs Revivify exclusively instead. Revivify is a urethane-based self-healing protective coating: it stays flexible, so light marring closes back up under heat from the sun or warm rinse water rather than accumulating. Same gloss, same hydrophobics, same chemical resistance — and the finish still looks corrected in year three.
So if you are researching a ceramic coating for your Lamborghini, you are in the right place — just know we will recommend the self-healing route and explain exactly why before you book anything.
What Revivify self-healing coating actually is →The risk isn't the paint. It's the shape.
There is very little flat panel on a modern Lamborghini. Almost every surface is a curve running into an edge, a vent, a splitter or a carbon element. Machine polishers concentrate heat at exactly those edges, and clear coat is always thinnest where a panel turns.
That is why exotic correction is slow, hand-supported and gauged panel by panel. It is also why an inexperienced shop can do expensive damage very quickly on a car like this — burn one edge on a Huracán and the repair is a bodyshop conversation, not a polishing one.
How exotic work differs from a normal correction.
Same principles, far less margin for error, and a lot more of the job done by hand.
| Capability | Standard car | Exotic protocol |
|---|---|---|
| Panel geometry | Mostly flat, forgiving surfaces | Curves, edges, intakes and aero throughout |
| Machine work | Machine polish across most of the car | Hand-supported around every edge and vent |
| Gauging | Per panel | Per panel and per edge, logged throughout |
| Carbon-fibre aero | Often ignored or polished carelessly | Assessed separately, coated rather than cut |

Installed by the people who train the installers.
We install one coating because we know it inside out. Mel Craig is a master Revivify installer and trains the U.S. network.
Paint thickness is measured and logged before and after each pass. We never polish to a fixed recipe.
A coating cannot remove a defect — it seals it in. Nothing gets coated here until the paint reads clean.
